Cape Point, the Hike

I love this place. The views are beyond spectacular, and the day we were there the wind was strong enough to blow you over out on the lookouts. This was my first encounter with the rock trails of Cape Town. With my affinity for stone it was love at first sight. The elemental beauty is hard to describe so I will let the pictures do it for me. In addition to the baboons, we also saw dassies and ostriches. The dassie is also known as the Rock or Cape Hyrax and is distantly related to the elephant. They are about the size of a gopher. The ones we saw here were grazing on the fynbos and pretty much ignored us.[album: http://www.catwingz.com/blog/wp-content/plugins/dm-albums/dm-albums.php?currdir=/wp-content/uploads/dm-albums/Cape Point/]
